S.A.F.E. Training for Women

Self-Defense Shifts from “Useful” to “Life-Saving” in a Moment
In an uncertain world, women are too often victims of fear, uncertainty, and even violence. From college student to traveling professional, that moment can creep up when least expected. Women are not weak, but sometimes, we can feel powerless. Self-defense is more than preparing for what-ifs — it is about training that inner strength and being confident in your capability to react in the face of danger.

EDUCATION

SIMPLE – Procrastination is the enemy of self-defense, especially for women who are naturally disadvantaged against stronger assailants. At its core, S.A.F.E. training lets experienced professionals mentor their fellow women in a secure environment. You will learn preventive, cognitive, and coping techniques that — in one moment — can go from useful to lifesaving.

ASSERTIVE – Good self-defense goes beyond physical ability and often comes down to the capacity to react in stressful situations. Our cognitive-based training course teaches women to effectively engage their Fight or Flight response and to avoid the most dangerous reaction — the treacherous instinct to FREEZE.

FOCUSED – Decades of experience in law enforcement have given S.A.F.E. course instructor Joan Bauer and her team the tools and inclination to teach women about personal safety. We utilize real-world examples to train mental techniques that prepare your mind to react in the face of danger. Unlocking this inner strength allows women to avoid (or work through) common mistakes made during the most critical moments in our lives.

EDUCATION – Sugar-coating the dangers posed to women does not help them prepare, so S.A.F.E. Training is not a lighthearted class. While this is not a physical course (no need to bring your boxing gloves), we have heard from previous students that S.A.F.E. Training has saved their life!.
We take class sizes ranging from 10–40+

Because we tailor our S.A.F.E. Training to a specific audience, you must contact us to discuss your group before booking.

The course can be held in a classroom, office building, home, or the backroom in your local coffee shop — all we need is WiFi. We also offer this course taught at our office (we have conference rooms for all sizes!) and know several off-site locations in our area that can accommodate your group. If you do not have access to a space, or would like to request one of our conference rooms, just select “at a location NPI provides” when filling out our form, or give us a call to discuss your needs.

Due to the sensitive topics we cover in a safety course of this nature, we recommend participants ages 16+. For those with younger audiences in mind, our only restriction is that minors require parental permission. Contact us if you are concerned about the mature topics discussed during the course and would like to request a comprehensive list of trigger warnings.
